Late 2018. A movement of rebellion against the current rule of France has started. Sparked by the carbon tax imposed by president Emmanuel Macron, which increased the fuel prices and was part of Macron’s plan to make the country greener, decreasing the CO2 emissions. People who opposed this tax took to the streets of Paris and started protesting uniting under a yellow high visibility jacket. These demonstrations would turn violent. Consequently resulting in people being injured. Question it raises is wether violence is a way forward in terms of getting your message across or is it just the way we are used to expressing our dissatisfaction?
